Central Bank Eases Rate as Inflation Falls By Mary Kachepa The Bank of Zambia –BoZ- has reduced the Monetary Policy Rate by 25 basis points, from 14.5 percent to 14.25 percent. BoZ Governor DENNY KALYALYA attributes the reduction to the continued decline in inflation, which averaged 12.3 percent in the three quarters ending September and fell further to 11.9 percent in October.
