The traditional Latvian folk dress is truly a sight to behold. But there is more to it than meets the eye – some think that behind the ornaments and ancient signs lies an encoded message containing long-lost knowledge. These signs are said to even protect their wearers. Nowadays, however, our knowledge can be easily conserved and passed on to next generations with the help of technology. And that is exactly what’s being done in the „Katram savu tautas tērpu” (To Each His Own Folk Dress) project.
