Earlier this week a bobcat was attempting to enter a fenced-in chicken coop in the Jamul area and got caught in the netting surrounding it, getting its feet caught up while trying to free itself. The owner called County Animal Services to come and extricate the bobcat. The officers used blankets and a catchpole (for officer safety) to free the animal.
