Dec 26, 2022 · Amber Alert I just got an Amber Alert on my iPhone. But it has no info on what it is, where it is etc. So I know there’s an Amber Alert somewhere for something. That’s about as useless as it gets. Where are the details?!

Amber alerts use the federal WEA system (Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) | Federal Communications Commission) and participating carriers for the most part propagate them to their customers as notificationa to avoid delays with SMS which in densely populated areas can experience delays.

Oct 21, 2021 · Yesterday a public-safety alert came in on my iPhone SE (running iOS 16.3.1). it appeared in front of the application that I was looking at. I closed that application, and the notification disappeared from view. I looked through my iPhone. I found no notifications at all. The public-safety alert did not appear in either Messages or Mail.

Jun 12, 2022 · Why did I not receive a local emergency alert when everyone else did when there was a tornado watch and the alert was cautioning to seek shelter & I didn’t get until over 5 hours later on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. yes amber alerts, emergency alerts & public safety alerts are set to ON and have been and I have unlimited data.

Tap on Notifications and scroll all the way to the bottom. Under the Government Alerts section, toggle the AMBER Alerts or Government Alerts option on or off to enable or disable them.

Aug 5, 2013 · The Alert is a new feature of cell phones in the US, installed by government mandate. There is no app for it. You must view it (or the part that is visible) on the screen the first time it appears.

Jul 3, 2023 · Emergency and amber alerts not working iPhone 11 My wife and I both have IPhone 11 running iOS 13.6.1 and both phones are on T-Mobile. The Emergency alerts are turned on. We have a flash flood in the area, she received the emergency alert and I did not. Two identical phones, same iOS and same carrier. This has happened a few time before.

Nov 5, 2019 · Three phones, all iOS 13.2. Mine 11 Pro Max (the one that still gets alerts, even with *all three types of alerts toggled off*). iPhone X and iPhone 11 (both again on iOS 13.2) with *all three types toggled off* do not get the alerts -- we literally were all in the same room last night for a few hours, and I got the same alert three times, they got it zero times.
