Even when Beterbiev seemed to let Bivol unload it seemed like he was just giving Bivol the opportunity to tire with no real concern of getting hurt.

Based on my scoring I had Bivol up by two points (as did many others) but I readily concede there were many basically even/swing rounds and there is a very reasonable way to score it a draw or even a close win for Beterbiev.

Oct 12, 2024 · I didn’t score rounds, but it really felt like Bivol pretty much out boxed Beterbiev for a large majority of the fight with like 2 or 3 shaky moments… It seemed to me that Bivol won clearly in a competitive bout. Interesting how different people’s perspectives can be. When I heard the decision, I felt like it was a robbery.

Oct 12, 2024 · I had Beterbiev by 2, but it was a hard fight to score as Bivol was landing the more eye catching shots. Beterbiev's shots however, were much more damaging and forced Bivol into retreat, that never helps your cause with the judges. Regardless, I'd have no issue with anyone saying Bivol by 1 or 2, it was a close fight.

May 9, 2022 · If Bivol and Ward had fought who would you have favored? I think it would have been interesting to see how this played out, especially knowing that Ward CAN be outboxed by a rangier fighter like Kovalev. Ward would have to dig deep and possibly resort to his usual mauling tactics to make the fight uncomfortable for Bivol.
