Feb 13, 2013 · I noticed the real telecasters are twangier than the Alvarez. Even the 2-humbucker Blacktop telecaster has a bit of twang. Some people say the twang is due to the bridge pickup. But the Alvarez has a similar bridge pickup. Some say it is due to the fact that the bridge pickup is mounted to the metal bridge plate. But the Alvarez has the same setup.

Jun 28, 2011 · I've got an Alvarez telecaster copy (not the 3 pickup one, this is like a standard tele) and I bought it used. They previous owner put some different bridge saddles on. He (or she, I bought it from guitar center) put normal saddles on, and according to the guy at guitar center I need offset saddles. This is screwing up a ton of stuff.

Jul 1, 2020 · Word! Which exact tuners did you use? I have an Alvarez that is absolutely one of the best sounding acoustics I have ever owned. And I've owned Martins, Collins, Bourgeois - this thing kicks all of their asses. Except for my sinker D-18. I just upgraded the plastic saddle to a Colosi bone saddle and man on man, even sweeter. Nov 13, 2012 · thought i'd share my new alvarez ap710sb parlour. guitar center had it on clearance for under $300! love this guitar. most reviews comment on how sweet it sounds fingerstyle (and it does), but i think it sounds good strummed, as well. although, i do play with thin picks and elixir 80/20 light-medium bronze strings.

The board feels like my Gibson Les Paul so I'm pretty sure it's 10" radius, I know there is a spec sheet Alvarez put out with very specific details on all the guitars in this line (the blues and jazz line or whatever it's called) in a PDF I found awhile back on a Google search.
