The National Hurricane Center (NHC) still has parts of the Gulf outlined for possible tropical formation through the next 24 hours, but regardless of development New Orleans and Louisiana will still be impacted by storms connected to this system.

A swirl of clouds, downpours and gusty thunderstorms will continue to migrate westward across the northern Gulf into the end of the week and will spread some locally heavy rain from southern Louisiana to parts of Texas into this weekend.
