A Morgan County man has been jailed following his indictment on charges of sexual abuse of minors. Thomas Johnson, 35, is being held at the county jail on a $100,000 bond and his next court date, according to court records, is in September. One of the alleged victims was less than 12 years old.

SPRINGFIELD – A man was shot and killed in the North End section of the city late Saturday night. Police responding to a report of a gunshot victim on Main Street discovered the wounded man. He was brought to Baystate Medical Center by ambulance and later died from his injuries, said Ryan Walsh, police spokesman.
