Lakeland police say a 40-year-old man shot his brother-in-law to death then briefly kidnapped a woman at a West Lakeland mobile home park.

A murder suspect is in custody after Lakeland Police say he shot his brother-in-law and threatened his sister before entering a residence next door, threatening the resident if she reported him.

Harrison's sister reportedly told officers her brother had been "exhibiting erratic behavior" over the last week and believed he was using illegal narcotics.
