When I wrote last Sunday that Auburn could lose its final two regular-season games and still be projected as the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, I didn't actually expect Auburn to lose its final two regular-season games.

Steven Pearl, Auburn’s associate head coach, was interviewed by The Next Round on Tuesday, where he was asked about the possibility of Duke being in play for the No. 1 overall seed.

This is the first time since the first week of the season that I’ll be voting for someone other than Auburn at No. 1 on my AP Top 25 ballot.
