The ‘Best In The World’ was finally able to capture gold again at SummerSlam, defeating Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship in a barn burner of a main event. Moments later, it all came crashing down, as Seth Rollins cashed in his Money In The Bank contract on Punk, taking the title from him.
Seth Rollins has broken his silence on major WWE announcement. The Visionary won the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam after a shocking cash in and remains one of the key stars on Monday Night RAW.
Ahead of the WWE European tour, the August 18 edition of Raw on Netflix aired live from the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The WWE superstar was on Good Morning Football August 14 when the unfortunate incident went down. Rollins, dressed in a tie, sweater and black dress pants attempted to playfully tackle one of the show's hosts when it went terribly wrong.
Rollins also revealed his greatest regret in life, which he claimed was being dishonest. He believes that this stems from within yourself, and if you're not honest with who you are, then that spills into relationships with other people, which is a wise piece of advice for fans to take to heart.
So we've had it confirmed from that most sanctified of sources, "The Oracle" Paul Heyman: Seth Rollins was faking his big injury right from the beginning in order to pull off his Money in the Bank cash-in.
But Punk's attack didn't knock Rollins' plans off course as Rollins and his crew laid out Punk and Knight. The group then managed to overcome a surprise appearance and attack from Roman Reigns as Raw went off the air.
Rollins has been with WWE since 2010 and made his main roster debut as part of The Shield alongside Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose (now known as Jon Moxley in AEW) two years later. He betrayed his stablemates and kick-started his singles career as a heel, becoming WWE Champion at WrestleMania 31 after achieving 'the Heist of the Century'.
