With the first actual hearing in the multi-million dollar lawsuits between It Ends With Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni coming up early next week, the Gossip Girl alum and spouse Ryan Reynolds have finally said the quiet part out loud.

The power couple allege that the no-holds-barred lawyer is violating judicial rules by using the media to exonerate his client, whom Lively is suing in federal court. Baldoni has filed a separate suit against both the actress and Reynolds.

The legal letter, addressed to Judge Lewis J. Liman, accuses Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman of “improper conduct” in releasing the footage. Lively’s legal team has responded fiercely, calling the leak further proof of their allegations against Baldoni.

In a letter to Judge Lewis Liman, their lawyer, Esra Hudson, reinforced the need for a protective order to prevent further “extrajudicial statements” by Baldoni’s legal team. Deadline reported that it said: “Requiring counsel to heed the ethical rules that bind them is not a gag order”.
