Arsenal edged an entertaining preseason friendly against Newcastle United on Sunday, with a late Martin Ødegaard penalty ensuring the Gunners continued their winning start to the summer.

Despite Arsenal's dominance, Newcastle found a route back into the game when Jacob Murphy picked out the bottom corner from range. Arsenal finally found the winning goal their performance deserved when Martin Odegaard scored from the penalty spot after the electric 15-year-old Max Dowman was taken out by Joelinton.

Arsenal beat Newcastle 3-2 in Singapore on Sunday as Mikel Arteta's kept their winning run going in preseason. Anthony Elanga put Newcastle ahead early on as the new signing made a great first impression on his first start, but then Arsenal equalized through Mikel Merino and an own goal from Jacob Murphy moments later made it 2-1.
