Israel increased aid distribution to Gaza over the weekend in an effort to defuse a growing international outcry over hunger convulsing the shattered Palestinian enclave.

July 26 (Reuters) - Israel will resume airdrop aid to Gaza on Saturday night, the Israeli military said, a few days after more than 100 aid agencies warned that mass starvation was spreading across the enclave.

Aid has been delivered to Gaza over the weekend, but the UN's aid chief says it is still only a "drop in the ocean".
