A magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck in San Bernardino County on Tuesday afternoon, causing shaking felt as far as Los Angeles and Riverside counties. It happened at around 4:55 p.m. nearly four miles from Rialto, according to the United States Geological Survey.

A magnitude 3.7 earthquake near Lytle Creek jolted awake residents across San Bernardino County, the latest in a string of quakes in Southern California.

LOS ANGELES — A preliminary magnitude-4.3 earthquake in the San Bernardino area produced shaking that was felt over widespread parts of Southern California. The quake, reported at about 9:30 a.m., was one of four of magnitude 2.5 or greater in the area, which includes the communities of Muscoy and Rialto.
