Sharon Stone Reacts to “Basic Instinct ”Remake Plans: 'I Don’t Know Why You’d Do It'
Sharon Stone doesn't see much of a point to the upcoming Basic Instinct reboot. In an interview with TODAY, Stone shared she's not keen on her 1992 film getting the reboot treatment, which was announced in July. The actress said there doesn't seem to be a need for a revival, especially if the plot remains the same.

Entertainment Weekly learned in July that Amazon MGM and producer Scott Stuber had obtained the rights to relaunch Basic Instinct and that Joe Eszterhas, who wrote the first two films, would write this installment. The Wrap, which first reported the news, noted that the movie would be "anti-woke" and that Stone might return.
