US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has expressed a need to examine the performance of the Federal Reserve, which has maintained a cautious stance on lowering interest rates.
The focus on growth will continue to remain strong, and thus the inclination toward rate cuts will continue to remain high, said Naveen Kulkarni of Axis Securities PMS.
An examination of the Fed is necessary to determine why members have proved unable to “break out of a certain mindset,” Bessent said.
