California LLCs file a report called a Statement of Information every two years in addition to an annual tax return. If you are incorporated during an even year, you will file every even year.

The California LLC fees are $70 to file Articles of Organization and $20 to file a Statement of Information, form LLC-12. Both are submitted to the California Secretary of State’s office.

The most important part of creating an LLC in California is filing the articles of organization, which you can do online through the state’s bizfile portal. This form has a one-time $70 filing fee.
