On Friday, the Las Vegas Raiders hired Pete Carroll as their head coach, agreeing to terms on a three-year deal with a fourth-year team option. Tom Brady and Co. met with several coaches and ultimately chose the 73-year-old former Super Bowl champion and NCAA national champion.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport floated an idea for that veteran presence: Russell Wilson, the former quarterback for Carroll's Seahawks. Rapoport reported that the two have remained close and that Wilson is a strong candidate to sign with the Raiders.
