PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are officially on break until they return to Latrobe for their annual training camp. With the entire team, aside from T.J. Watt in attendance for mandatory minicamp, however, it was the first time to evaluate the team.
Steelers reporter Mike Kaboly writes that there’s “no place where [Patterson] can slot in” into the roster, and the reporter expresses skepticism that the veteran will be on the roster for the start of the 2025 season. Kaboly also wonders if the team may be holding out for a potential trade suitor.
The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted running back Kaleb Johnson in the 2025 NFL Draft, and he could make an immediate impact.
"I remember being in these kids' shoes, being young, wanting to be like those professional athletes. ... I'm excited that we have this platform," Steelers rookie QB Will Howard said.
