Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil arrived in Newark, New Jersey, Saturday afternoon, a day after he was released from the Louisiana ICE detention center where he has spent more than three months after he was arrested outside his apartment on Columbia University’s campus.

A Palestinian activist who participated in protests against Israel has been freed from federal immigration detention after 104 days.
