President Donald Trump is taking a more conciliatory approach with Democratic leaders in Minnesota. This change follows the second fatal shooting of a protester by federal agents this month.
"When we gaslight and contradict what the public can plainly see with their own eyes, we lose all credibility," one DHS official said.
Footage from at least one of the videos appears to show a federal officer disarming the victim before shots are fired.
The NRA has branded a post attributed to Trump criticising Pretti over his shooting as "fake news" and issued a warning.
