Seattle Police responded to a report of an "irate parent" accused of pushing two teen hockey referees so hard they were knocked onto the ice during a youth hock

A Seattle man is facing misdemeanor assault charges after shoving two child referees at his son's hockey game Sunday, officials said.

The ugly side of minor hockey reared its ugly head again, this time in the Pacific Northwest where a parent went after 13- and 14-year-old referees, says Ken Campbell.

The Seattle Police Department and the Pacific Northwest Amateur Hockey Association are actively investigating the incident.

Parents and coaches are speaking out after a man was caught on camera heading out onto the ice at the Kraken Community Iceplex and shoving two youth referees during a hockey match over the weekend.
