Gibson Guitars on Tuesday (Dec. 14) released the first for-sale versions of Megadeth bandleader Dave Mustaine 's new signature instruments with the Tennessee-based guitar manufacturer.

The Flying V EXP is already sold out on Gibson’s website, but you can purchase the guitar on Reverb. Check out images of the Antique Natural and Silver Bullet finishes below.

First approached by Gibson in 2020, Mustaine began working with the company to design the Dave Mustaine Flying V EXP, available in Antique Natural and Silver Metallic.

The ruling in Gibson's favor comes after a two-week trial with Dean Guitars over trademarks for the Flying V body shape, the Explorer body shape, the ES body shape, and the SG body shape.

Gibson Guitars, Inc., the maker of iconic guitars like the Gibson Les Paul, the ES335, the "Flying V" and the Explorer has won a lawsuit saying the shape is part and parcel with the brand.
