At least nine people are dead and more are injured after a UPS plane crashed on Tuesday as it was departing from Louisville, Kentucky, spurring a massive fireball and leaving a trail of destruction, officials said.
One person is dead following a crash with a semitruck in southeastern Franklin County. The crash occurred just after 5:45 p.m. at London Groveport and Port roads in Madison Township, according to a dispatcher for the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
One man died and others were injured following a Tuesday morning crash at a Fanwood park, police said. Police responded to Forest Road Park around 10 a.m. for a report of a car crash and found multiple people injured and a downed utility pole, according to a statement from the Fanwood Police Department.

Prior to the landing attempt, "One of the tail rotor pitch links was disconnected from a tail rotor blade," the report found. The tail rotor gearbox separated and partially fell out of the sky during the landing attempt, causing the helicopter to spin out of control. The NTSB is continuing to investigate the crash.
