The 2nd Generation Apple Pencil was released a while back in 2018, compared the newer USB-C Apple Pencil that was launched in 2023 that extends support to both newer and a few older iPad models.

There's some good news in that case — all three Apple Pencil models are on sale on Amazon for Black Friday. Of the trio, the second-gen Apple Pencil has the widest array of features.

T he Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) is now just $80, down from its usual $129. That’s a hefty 38% discount, saving you $49.

Currently, the Apple Pencil's 2nd Generation model has a 4.7 out of 5-star rating on Amazon with over 90,000 reviewers.

According to Amazon price tracker Keepa, Amazon listed the second-gen Apple Pencil for $89 between Oct. 26 and Oct. 31. That’s only $10 more than the USB-C option, for a better product.

The second-generation Apple Pencil with wireless charging is a more advanced option than the Apple Pencil (USB-C), but it's not supported on the 2024 or 2025 iPads.
