After two pauses, President Trump has now reinstated his "adjusted" reciprocal tariffs on dozens of America's trading partners.

Trump has justified tariffs on goods from Canada, the top U.S. export market, by accusing it of failing to stop the cross-border flow of fentanyl, even though U.S. government data shows Canada accounts for only 1% of the fentanyl that enters the United States.

The countries facing the highest rates are Laos and Myanmar at 40% and Syria -- at 41%. The president previously announced a 40% tariff on Brazil, that when added on top of the 10% baseline tariff, means a 50% rate on the country's imports to the U.
