Much of the attention of Cincinnati Bengals fans has gone to the injury status of Joe Burrow on Monday, but the team is also dealing with another significant injury on the defensive side.

Bengals defensive end Shemar Stewart did not agree to his rookie deal with the team before the rookie report date.

Cincinnati Bengals rookie Shemar Stewart was impressive in his regular-season debut against the Cleveland Browns, to say the least. Playing nearly half of the Bengals’ defensive snaps, Stewart posted strong grades while getting some interesting usage across the line.

If the Bengals don't address their run game quickly, Burrow and the franchise might be playing meaningless games by the time he is ready to return in mid-December. Burrow was in the locker room on Monday, three days after undergoing surgery on his left toe.

Sunday will mark the official NFL debut for Cincinnati Bengals first-round edge-rusher Shemar Stewart as Cincinnati heads to Cleveland to take on the Browns in an early AFC North showdown. Sunday could also be an early breakout party for the former Texas A&M star.
