Madrid is similar to New York, paris, Rome etc. The center of the city which is usually peatonal is full ot litlle shops all around. Near Cerralbo there are some small shops. There are smalll cafes some on thje side walk. However this is not he main shopping area which is the Gran Via. However, the Gran Via ends at Plaza de Espana which is abou 2 b locks away from Cerralbo At times there may be small Bazaar stands at the Plaza. Other Centers like Paza Mayor and Puerta del SOl you need a taxi or if you take ther Red Bus it stoips at Plaza de Espana and has stops at Gran V ia, Plaza Mayor and Puerta del SOl .
