Hi, we are heading to Fenwick for the week with our kids (6, 10 & 11) and wondered if it’s worth bringing their bikes? Normally we enjoy biking around rather than driving on vacation but are worried about the roads (we are staying east of route 1) being safe. Any insight is helpful. Thanks!!

We have brought bikes and ride the bike / bus lane and side streets all the way to the boardwalk in Ocean City... You can also ride the boardwalk in OCMD before 10am which if you go early enough can be fun... That said I am not sure I would want my 6 year old riding the bus lane because of the cars turning into all of the shopping centers to the right. There are some nice parks in the Fenwick area that riding bikes to on the side streets can be fun but having to ride along Rt 1 with children may not be the safest plan!
